At the risk of repeating myself from earlier subjects, Papaver atanticum is
a very fine pastel orange poppy, fairly small and suitable for the front of
a bed. Then there are Icelandic poppies although finding just orange ones
might be a problem. There are some very fine orange asiatic lilies in a
variety of shades from quite dark to pale pastels (I know, because I have
all those although they were supposed to be reds, yellows and whites as
well when I bought them) and of course the common orange daylily and
possibly some more modern hybrids as well.
California poppies are annuals but in the right soil you'd never know it
since they reseed in large numbers. There are some very nice orange
heleniums too, which are perennials. There is an orange
lychinis-arkwrighti I think. More will probably occurr to me as soon as I
send this.
