Last question first (it's easiest!).  Nope, Norfolk Island pines are not 
hardy in zone 7.

As for the azalea...Most of them will survive zone 7, a few won't.  
Florist azaleas can be a challenge; usually they are pretty pot-bound 
and have been forced out of season.  

They need acidic soil (pine needles are great for mulching them) and 
partial shade.  In my area, they do best with some morning sun and shade 
from the afternoon heat.  Be sure and "tease" the roots out before you 
plant.  (My mom has lost several, and usually the roots are still in the 
shape of the pot when she digs them up!)
