Linda:
When I first used Preen I threw it over everything and needless to say,
had no reseeding annuals that year. In subsequent years I carefully take
a wide berth around all of the annuals that I want to reseed. And the
weeds aren't too bad. About every 3rd or 4th year, I save seed and start
the some plants in flats, and go ahead and use the Preen. And start all
over again.
The one that gives me the most trouble is the cleome. I have it in a bed
6 foot wide and 50 foot long, over planting some daffodils. That's a lot
of annuals to start and plant. Last year I had quite a batch of weeds
and decided that this was the year that I would have to just forgo the
cleome.
