I cut my branches of aronia when in bright red color with berries and put
them in a vase with branches of a sasanqua camellia (blooms the same time)
with single white flowers. Quite charming in the fall/early winter.
I can only hope I end up with bluebirds at my aronia! So far the thrushes
are quite entertaining.

For mine is just a little old fashioned garden where the
flowers come together to praise the Lord and teach all
who look upon them to do likewise.

Sorry that we have gotten off topic, but since we are, I went to a
landscaping seminar yesterday and one of the presenters was talking about
this aronia and said that the bluebirds find the berries absolutely
irresistable. It is also good for cutting branches and bringing indoors.
