The fence we have that was destoyed by the climbing hydrangea is a six foot
high panel fence. All I know is that this was destroyed and also on tv
last year a gardener said that this would happen to wood (fairly thin
wooden products I got the impression such as our fence or perhaps a shed).
I don't know about a chain link fence. Perhaps someone else can help.
