RE: Scabiosa Butterfly Blue/ AND A YELLOW VARIETY

Thanks, Ginny, for filling in the "blanks."  I also have a
Cephalaria gigantea but it hasn't bloomed yet.  I'm very glad to hear its
airy in stature.  I kinda squeezed it in a tight place!

The scabiosa Susan is referring to is S. ochroleuca.  I haven't found this
one to bloom quite as long as 'Butterfly Blue'.  There is also a giant
scabiosa call Cephalaria gigantea (Tree Scabiosa) that is huge in bloom.  It
can grow 6 to 8 feet tall in bloom and usually doesn't need staking if it is
planted in full sun.  It is a good "see-through" plant--very airy.  This one
looks good with S. ochroleuca in front since they are the same color.  I
would plant something else in the middle of the two for contrast.
