Well now, spring's arrival still allows for plenty of rain! But the frogs
always are accurate about (1) warming and (2) the fact that frosts and
freezing are over.
Also, since Milwaukie is a bit south of Portland, our microclimate may be
different that others around the metro area. Take Troutdale, for example,
whose position at the mouth of the Columbia Gorge usually means they'll have
"spring" 2-3 weeks later than the rest of us.

The tree frogs sang in Milwaukie, Oregon, on March 13, 1999. For us, this
means that spring has arrived..... The frogs are never wrong!
