Mulch removal, was Crocuses...
Ah, when to remove the wet leaves that nature has laid down or the
mulch I laid down; that is the question! After two relatively warm and
windy days, I want to get started on the clean-up, esp. since I see
the daffodil and tulip foliage beginning to poke up above the ground.
Wait and it's hard to clear debris out without damaging it, do it now
and expose those tender shoots to whatever the weather throws our way
next. (The weatherman on the news last night reminded us of a 12 inch
snowstorm in April, 1972).
I guess carefully, softly, gently and gradually is the best advice,
and as someone mentioned, be ready with Remay, sheets, bushel baskets,
etc.
