Jeanne, my self-sown columbine seedlings are up so you are probably out of
luck with them. My lobelias which are an extremely healthy stand in exactly
the conditions they like have not yet emerged--here in Zone 6a Cincinnati, a
little warmer than you, it is not yet time for them, so you may be OK there.
Established perennials are showing some signs of growth, but many have not yet
activated. I think we all got our expectations going early because everything
last year was 3 weeks early, through most of the growing season. This year, a
colder than usual March seems to have had almost the opposite effect and many
things may be late. So, don't panic yet.
