Re : Blue and Yellow

Hello,
Yesterday, when I read the message from Barb, I did not answer right away
because I had to check what I had growing in my garden. There is a mystery
about two plants : I sowed Hylomecon japonicum seeds from the RHS 2 or 3
years ago and planted them in my woodland garden with the small periwinkle.
I noticed some seedlings around but not an invasion (the periwinkle will be
the winner perhaps if I don't do anything). I bought to a belgian nursery a
Stylophorum diphyllum and planted it in another area where I can't see any
seedlings at all. For me, the two plants are similar, same yellow flowers,
same foliage and same orange sap.Can anybody tell me what are the
differences between the two?
