Val, while I see your point, I know that the day is going to come
that I will no longer be the owner of my house and Master of The
Garden and I may not have the good fortune and luxury of passing "El
Jardín del Exceso Desgraciado" on to someone who knows (or even
cares, God Forbid!) about plants and horticulture. I hear horror
stories about folks who had to leave a garden tended lovingly through
the years, only to learn that the new owners had everything torn out
and replaced with something more "maintenance free". I know I'll
never label all of my plants, but some of the real odd-balls (the
Dove Tree <Davidia involucrata>, or Chinese Spice bush
<Sinocalycanthus chinensis>, might get lost in the shuffle, so to
speak, if they had no identification or indication to show that they
were "Special".

Just my $.02
