snow-broken fern fronds

Here in what usually Zone 3, we had a very mild winter and a somewhat mild
early spring. On May 12, however, we got several inches of heavy, wet snow,
and that night the temp got down to at least 26 and maybe lower. Many
plants had tender stalks broken, and some outer leaves of hostas got
nipped, but the most-damaged were the ferns. They had been about a foot
tall, but now all are bent in half. The stalks appear to be broken. If I
trim them, do you think they will grow back this year?

Thamks for your help,
Myrna, Zone 3, Montana
