Great plant - is your climate too cold for you to grow it Bob?   I managed
to grow three from a whole pack of seeds two years ago.   Took some seeds
from the plants last year and now have three seedlings on the windowsill
(very erratic germination) - will have a reasonable clump by 2010 at this
rate.

I think not. It's a much underappreciated perennial. I'm surprised that
there isn't a pure white Knautia yet though.  I rather like most of the
scabious-like flowers I've seen.  Now the one I really covet is Cephalaria
gigantica (or is it gigantea?).  That's an impressive looking plant.
