Re: Comments on these perennials appreciated - Knautia


Those are the annual scabious. I plead guilty to never having tried them but 
they do come in a nice assortment of colours, and they are supposed to be 
very easy to start in the garden. Up here mixing annuals with tender 
perennials that need to be dug up (like dahlias and gladiolas) seems to me 
like a remarkably sensible idea. I don't want to disturb my perennials but 
usually the annuals will be badly frost damaged by the time I have to dig 
the bulbs and corms anyway.
