Hello Donna,
I am so happy to hear from you! Glad you are able to get out and about.
And already shopping for more plants! Just goes to show that you can"t
keep a good woman down. I have been keeping you in my prayers.
I started including lisianthus in my gardens about 5 years ago. I find
them exquisite, but they do tend to droop as the season progresses.
Maybe a person could top them. I have been afraid to for fear of killing
them. The first few years I purchased them from nursery. (they are a
annual for us here in the
very s.w. corner of Indiana) Last year I ordered the seed from Park seed
and grew some myself, two of which I put back into pots and wintered
over. They are now back in my "little" garden. They took a long while
to germinate and then the rate of success wasn't all that great. The
"seed" is smaller than tiny.
I have seen them at Wal-Mart the last 2 years. All tho this year they
were trying their best to kill them--I almost bought them to try to save
their lives, but I find when a plant is that :"sick" 9 times out of 10
my tender nursing just isn't enough.
