Title: Re: Salvias
I've just come across the correspondence on salvia's from seed (running a
little behind on my mail) I have just grown Salvia Merjanie 'mint sauce' and
Salvia Lyrata 'purple knockout' both supplied by NARGS , can you help with
information about them and if they will be true to type?
Many thanks

Colin, I suggest you log onto the saliva discussion at
Yahoogroups.com. Many members of this list participate in that
one as well and can help you. Personally, I have grown the
S. lyrrata though I am not certain it is the same variety. In my
California garden, it is a thug -- spreads all over the place and I
regret planting it. In your garden, it might behave differently,
however... It seems to seed and sprout in my more moist
areas.
