I was wondering about that, myself, as in my area, most variegated
plants either want or tolerate more shade than the non-var. types.
Went nursery hopping today and saw the results of this in several
plants set out in full sun...tad of sunburn on the foliage. Do think
location plays a big part in sun tolerance and requirements for
plants, really.
I also saw the var. ground ivy! Quite a lovely thing to look at but
I would not have it for all the money in the world - and I'm a nut
for variegation. But, 'spose, as a weed, it beats the standard
ground ivy...wanted to put a sign on it saying "Beware".
