RE: Maryilyn's Paeonia

Hi Claire, I didn't mean the Peonies are in flower now. Most likely closer
to Memorial Day. It was only a running thought on flowers in the color
magenta. I have 4 hardy Geraniums in magenta w/a black eye. G.
psilostemon, G. 'Patricia', G. 'Ann Folkard' are large and bloom in summer.
But the dainty little G. cinereum ssp. subcaulescens are in bloom in the
rockery & hell strip right now.

How do you have peonies and tulips blooming at the same time?

Hybrid peony plants bloom here in June. I have some that are species plants
about to bloom now (and probably be snowed on) but they are much smaller
plants and have to be grown from seed. No magentas in that bunch. Pink or
red.

Magenta is OK with me, too. Great big pots of Purple Wave petunias.
