But of course all of those will eat slugs. Skunks seem particularly fond of
them. If it wasn't for a) rabies and b) the fact that my dogs hate skunks
and attack them even after having been sprayed multiple times, I'd be more
than happy to have a few skunks in the yard.
I don't even mind that they dig up the lawn looking for grubs. My lawn isn't
all that great anyway.
Maybe she's getting her desired result of limited slug damage without
knowing the real reason. After all, anyone who talks to slugs has a very
tenuous hold on reality at best. Everybody knows that snails are the only
molluscs that understand English.
