LOL. Yes, the ubiquitous mahonia and rhodies. Nearly weeds around here ;-)
But then, you probably don't have gray skies 300 days a year either, do you?!

I only WISH my clematis grew like yours, Sue. But then most things grow
bigger and fast in your territory than in mine. I remember searching all
over locally for some Mahonia only to arrive in Portland and find it all over
the roadsides.
