Re: question

Gosh, Judy its been so long that I dont recall the latin ,but one is shiny, smooth
leaved, dark green with almost blackened trunk, smallish lavender flowers that face
upward and a hint of fragrance, but the plant if crushed stinks, revealing its
related tobacco odor.It looks very much like the one in T&M cat.page 69 m.'La
Fleur Lilac'.
The second is the common D.stramonium(or at least I think it is:-)

The last was seed given to me with no name other than to say that it was perfect
in our area and they were right..I havent proven it yet but it appears to be
perennial here.Lovely thing with fuzzy foliage almost marbled effect
lavenders, grey, green. With giant white flowers with just a hint of lavender at the
edges..But the fragrance is exquisite, just like a fine rose. Can you tell I like
Datura?Anything that can prevail in this fickle, often hostile climate is so
appreciated that you love it when they not only succeed but excel and they do..(It
looks just like the one in T&M page 28 D.m.'Evening Fragrance')..
How bout you?
Love to know others experiences with these.
BTW does anyone know the shelf life of these seeds? I have some for both the
double Purple and yellow and hope I havent lost them to age.
