We finally mounted our bird feeder on a metal pole and the masked bandits
can't get up there--but they do root around and eat all the spilled seeds on
the ground below it. The suet feeder nailed to the tree is, like yours,
cleaned out regularly every night--they've learned to wait until the dog goes
to bed so they don't get barked at.
