Hi,
It might be a hoya. They have latex-like sap, star shaped white or pink
flowers with pink centers. Fragrance is usually sweet, some smell like
sweet chocolate. Here is a link with a picture and further information,
including propagation:

I give up, time to ask the experts.
I've just received some cuttings from a nameless, jasmine-like plant.
I haven't seen the mother plant, but have been told that it is now
being grown as a hanging vine, with clusters of several individual
flowers on the terminal ends. I was given an individual flower but
was unable to get a picture before it faded.
The dime-sized, star-shaped flower is composed of 5 white petals that
open and appear very much like a tiny balloon flower. The inner ring
of 5 purple stamens (nectuaries?) is also star shaped, about the size
of a pencil eraser. The leaves are opposite and slightly deltoid, and
emit a white, latex-like sap when broken at the stem. Fragrance
appears to be absent or slight.
I've looked through 50 pages of Google results using star flower or
star-shaped and am at a loss. Would appreciate any tentative ID's or
pointers.
Thanks
