Greetings from a slowly warming up New Hampshire!

  Some of you may recall our discussions on this last year.  Well, I
can now confidently state, that it does overwinter and it spreads!  I
am now in the process of replanting in various parts of the garden in
deep pots sunk into the ground. Should clump up nicely now!

I am finding some odd balls that didn't overwinter - my Coreopsis
Limerock Ruby and C. Sweet Dreams appear to be gone. I'll leave their
spots alone for a while in case they are late returning.  A few
daylilies didn't make it - one heaved thanks to the rodent population
in the garden and a few seem to have rotted away. Didn't spend top
dollar on any of them, so no harm done.

I also lost my Euphorbia myrsinites (donkey tail spurge) - it got
covered with blowing leaves and rotted. And I gave all my seedlings
away last year!

What still blows me away is the amount of winter kill on my red
leafed rose; I lost about half the canes. This is the first year that
it has seen this much snow cover and I left the hips on for the
birds. All thoughts welcome on the causes of the dead canes. BUT, I
found 4 seedlings from it this spring; they are headed to Monica.
