Hi Kate:
I think you have Lysimachia ciliata 'Atropurpurea'. A spreader but quite
nice in the right spot which for me is on a flood bank down by the
rill/stream. Three plants have spread nicely to form a patch. Thirty inch
plants with small yellow flowers in, ? July I think, aren't my choice for a
burgundy leaved plant but it's ok. White or even cream would be a bit
better. Grow it if you have the location. Mine is in the shade, very moist
local.
