Re: rare and choice was: Words to watch Re: Invasive perennials


Well, you've hit a couple of adjectives that are IMO totally
meaningless today.  I am continually amazed at which plants are given
the 'rare and choice' descriptions.  Of course, Wayside tends to go a
tad overboard in their prose, but several nurseries that I respect
have labeled some plants that I *know* are neither rare nor choice
with those words...maybe the catalog description writer was really
tired of trying to come up with new and different ways to describe a
plant to make someone want to buy it or something.
