Merri,  thanks for the recommendation.  I saw a good picture of this Iris at

Yes the blooms only last a few days on most Iris - making them all the more
precious.

Marilyn, I have Iris ruthenica 'Red Form' that I got from Darrell Probst
several years ago.  A lovely, lovely small iris, though the blooms last only
a few days.
