Thanks, Chris.  Everything else around these alliums seem fine.  Apparently 
they like an extra helping of nitrogen.  I'll give it a try.

Hi Kitty,

I've read that a lot of Allium like nitrogen, and if they don't get that 
nitrogen you'll start to see yellow leaf tips.  

I remember reading once (somewhere, no idea where) that throwing some compost 
around the base should help them recover pretty quickly.
