Yep - the mark down sections at Lowes or my local nursery are my favorite sources
I got 4 different peonies  for $15 and all had $20+ price tags

I am watching to see what has life from last falls “hurt plant” pots I have several new peonies, a new butterfly bush, something labeled “Culver’s Root” that looks like I need a bigger pot for it yesterday, a “Little Joe” Pye Weed, a unlabeled achemillia, ditto on a coreopsis. The only loss for sure so far on the pots I sprinkle around the house is a bee balm. My Kent Beauty oregano is happy (maybe too happy) as is a prunella in a different pot. Haven’t been garden shopping yet, weather hasn’t been cooperated (as I type its a cold rainy morning) but my first garden plan is to re-do several of my accent pots. Followed by cleaning out the beds and and dividing mass quantities of daylilies and such.
