Thought mine(Aralia) were gone but just went dormant. Have not had them long enough to see them get tacky. Love anything yellow though. Have to add lime to the shooting stars...even in potting medium but they do live and do not come up from
seed. Too acid here.

I love Shooting Stars! I planted 3 Dodecatheons last fall; looks like 2 survived. Watch out for that mint - it's a mover. L. Golden Alexander is very pretty and I grew it for years but as I recall it always looked funky later in the season.
Speaking of looking Funky...has anyone grown Aralia Sun King? For me, it's slow to start, then catches up looks gorgeous for a while then begins to fail a branch at a time, dying off. Eventually looks too bad to look at and cut it down. Comes back great though
every spring. Fungal issue maybe? I had two. About 60 feet apart. They both did it.

1 Symplocarpus foetidus (Grand Prairie Friends, $4.00, qt)
2 Trillium recurvatum (Plant sale, $5.00, qt)**
2 Uvularia grandiflora (Plant sale, $5.00, qt)**
