| HI Joanie, No offense, but I believe you meant to say “lower the pH” if you want to make the soil more acidic (pH 1-7). Here in south eastern, we’re over limestone, with alkaline pH. My hellebores are all over the place, but I’ve lost a number of plants that need a more acid pH. Don
