My favorite combo that's blooming now is my
pink shrub rose 'Therese
Bugnet', foxgloves, and large purple allium.
Which Allium? Sounds perfect!
I agree with the original poster on this subject:
El Nino has produced an
unusual spring. We are cooler than normal
here and the spring flowers have
lasted longer and the colors are deeper. We
usually jump right from winter
into summer!
That's the opposite of what we had in the
PNW. We usually have long cool springs.
Hence the burned up duth iris, etc.
