That would be Bellis perennis, (still haven't got my reference books out of
the basement) which I
understand does in fact grow in the lawns like dandelions but there are
also larger flowered garden cultivars like the ones we grow here.  But then
most of us think goldenrod is a weed but the English insist on putting it
their gardens and are even trying to convince us to do the same.
