Replacement for 'Palace Purple'?

I have a small bed on the corner of my lot that's in full sun during the
morning and early afternoon. The bed always looks fantastic in the spring,
but as we get closer to summer some of my plants begin to scorch. The
most notable example is the pair of Heuchera 'Palace Purple' that I
have in there. They were never meant for such dry conditions, and it
shows. I'd like to move them to a shadier section of the garden, but
I really want to replace them with something similar.

Of course, the other option is the installation of a sprayer there, but
it's so far from the rest of the garden.

Can anyone recommend a plant for dry, sunny conditions that tops
off at about 18" and has dark foliage? A coarser texture is also
preferred.

Thanks,
