That sounds just like White Flower Farms. Where do you live in Canada.
Asking you to pay money to buy something from them takes the cake for me. But
what really did me in was the prices that they were asking for Begonias.
$55.00 for a tuber! I have great success growing Begonias, but I also know a
dozen or so folks that can't grow them and they are the folks that think that
if they pay a high price they will be more successful.
There are so many other growers of perennials that would love to have your
business that I would suggest that you search them out. Not only will they be
happy to take your money, but they will also send you a real live
transplantable plant, not some dormant stub that has been sitting in
refrigeration long past the best possible time to plant in your area. Plus
you won't have to pay a million dollars for it. Look in the Web. I'm sure
that they are there somewhere.
