airhead's reply

I am walking on air. Here I am, an absolute neophyte at the gardening
game communicating with all these pros and I discover we have
something in common, namely, Mystery plants ! I have been writing
about my mystery plant that I found growing amid my shasta daisies. I
assumed it was something I had planted and forgotten about. It is
about eight inches tall now and after perusing the list of what I
planted, I have to conclude that this is a visitor from space. It has
funny leaves. They start out at the base as leaves much like the
shasta daisy but the outer half of the leaf is fringed and kind of
ferny looking. Right now it has a flower bud that resembles a petunia
bud. Ddoes anyone have any idea what it could be.? I suspect it came
with the pot of shasta daisies from the nursery where I purchased the
plant.
Donna (in Detroit): In the group discussion of Catalogues, you
mentioned that you were happy with the plants you got from people who
grew their own stock as the plant size and prices were so good. Are
you talking about one of your local nurseries or is this a catalogue
company you are talking about. If it is a catalogue co. would you
mind telling me what it is?
thanks to all. Now that I too have a mystery plant, I feel like a pro
gardener. ( I know I'm not but let me live with my illusion for a
while).
