Thanks, Barb.
Susan,
I planted a garden specifically for my wife this weekend. One of my little
girls (Kirsten) helped me pick out the flowers Friday night while Krisha and
Bev (my wife) went shopping. I have one suggestion to anybody else getting
ready to do this. Make sure you have ample lighting. What Kirsten and I
thought was blue turned out to be purple. I got it to remind me of Bev's
eyes. She said it was OK, purple was her favorite color. So, in the end,
it still reminds me of her.
She really likes "her" new garden. Thanks for the idea. She helped me
water last night and has been seemingly more interested than usual. So
maybe she's starting to come around after all. Her garden is in a beautiful
setting. I already have three chrysanthemums (sp?) surrounding a purple
smoke tree. Now, her garden is interwoven with the mums. It's going to be
beautiful when in full bloom. I should have written down what I bought so I
could share with you, but didn't think of it 'til now. I'll try to do it
tonight.
In all, I planted another 60 annuals this weekend to add to my evergrowing
list. I put up two more flower "boxes" on the upper level of my tri-level
deck in my backyard. These are for the left-over annuals I got for my wife.
So, in escence, she has a couple more small gardens in the backyard.
