Mertensia virginica (Virginia bluebells, although some are pink -- could
                        pretend she has pink-eye :)

   Phlox divaricata (Wood phlox)
   Aquilegia caerulea
   Allium caeruleum

These are the only light blue plants that I can think of. Don't
know of anything greenish-blue, though, unless we start getting
into foliage. Some of the green plants have a glaucous coating on
them that makes them more blue or blue-green; certain hostas, rue,
   and corydalis come to mind.

Regarding common to scientific name sources, I don't have any better
   ones.

I *think* it was Allen J. Coombes...

Chris (who is heading out to play in the dirt this fine spring day)
