I made a hypertufa container a couple of months ago and calculated the
total volume of the material as opposed to its weight.
You need to determine the height, width, depth, and thickness of the
container. I think that you've just given the height, width, and
thickness. You calculate the volume of each side and the bottom and add
them together.
Now you have to figure out how to convert cubic inches to cups. It was
easy for me. I used metric measurements and the conversion of cubic
centimetres to litres is a no brainer.
If you send me the complete set of dimensions (in inches) I think that I
can do the calculations in metric and convert back to imperial measurments
for you.
