I must be doing something wrong. I have been ripping
Lily of the Valley out of my yard for the past 8
years. Nothing does any good. Right now they are
coming up between the paving blocks on my patio. I
gave them a good shot of Roundup yesterday. My advice
to those who are trying to grow them is embed them in
concrete. They will surely take off like wildfire.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, my galloping day lilies
are coming up EVERYWHERE including the cracks of my
driveway. My husband despairs of the ones popping up
all over the lawn and just mows them down with the
lawnmower. Not to worry..they come right back!! I
also have a nice crop of day lilies growing in the
gravel in my window wells. Now if I could just get
this kind of growth out of some of my other plants, I
would be a happy lady.
