The asiatics like them all.
Just wondering.

Mary they need very good drainage in winter.
They will rot if they are wet in the fall/winter.
Use a lot of sand when planting them if you have moist soils or water a lot.
Dig the hole down about 12" deep and use a soil mix with fifty percent sand
and plant the bulbs 6-8" deep. they do not multiply like the Asiatics but
they do have more flowers as they age.
Also slugs do feed on the bulbs, so if you have a slug problem in your yard
you should control them.
Personally I like the trumpet type lilies my self, they are just a little
easier to grow but also need good drainage to grow well.
The best plants I have had have been those that have grown under the eves of
the house.
