Hi all-
just wanted to thank those who stress patience for those of us new to
gardening. Last year I was so urked at all the nasty spring weeds
around my 2 shastas. This year, with a dose of patience and another
year of gardening under my belt, I was able to determine **whaddya
know!!!** they weren't weeds, they were more shastas!
Patience paid off, too, when I waited and waited for the platycodon to
show, being totally clueless as to where they were planted (my 2 little
scamps had collected all the plant labels for me!! wasn't that nice??)
\ Reminds me of the morning I awoke to the spectacle of my 2-year-old
daughter standing at my bedside with the sack of spring bulbs I had just
purchased the day before, proudly proclaiming "Look, Mom, I peeled them for
you". ( Not a one of them had even a shred of outer covering left on
them.) How do they and their mothers survive those years?

So again, my thanks to all of you guiding me along the garden path.
