About three weeks ago, I bought three huge (softball-size) bulbs at
Wal-Mart that were labelled "elephant ears". I planted them (indoors) in
gallon nursery pots. So far, no sign of life. Should I give them heat? (are
in basement that's only about 60 degrees). And how do you tell which end is
up? I tried to guess, using what limited logic that I posess, but could
easily have been wrong.
It's probably stupid to try to grow elephant ears in Montana, but I thought
they might consort well with the cannas that thrive as long as I remember
to bring them in.
Myrna, Zone 3, Montana (where it's been so cold that even the "cool
weather" stuff is standing still, but the bulbs are fabulous)
