Nepeta six hills (was garden thugs)

I have the six hills too and I love it.  Last year I
cut it back by 2/3 after the first bloom and it
bloomed again.  I have lots of little seedlings too. 
The funny thing is that I have 4 or 5 cats that run
loose in the neighborhood and none of them go near my
plant.  It is right next to the driveway, so if they
chose, it's right there for them.  Should I feel that
I am being discriminated against?  Should I contact
the Civil Liberties Union or something?
Someone said they don't do a thing to theirs so I'm
not going to cut mine back this year.
