OR, just remove the bugs and "spittle" with your fingers. Gardeners can't be
too squeamish. I have even learned to kill a Japanese beetle with a squeeze
between two fingertips (but I do NOT enjoy it). Somehow this seems kinder to
me than drowning them in a jar of water (another method) or poisoning them.
