Kids' gardening books

Does anyone know of any good gardening books for kids. I want to get a
book for my 8 yr old granddaughter that will take her through all the
stages of gardening - from soil preparation to planting to maintenance.
I would like it to be a book written for children.

She's mentioned should would like to have her own garden, so I thought I
would get her a book for Christmas. Along with this will be a 'gift
certificate' for plants, soil amendments, and assistance from grandma in
starting a garden.
