There was a Viola variegata offered last year or the year before on the
Scottish Rock Garden list (if memory serves) I obtained some and grew them
on and they did resemble the leaves of cyclamen with heavy veining in
silver. Unfortunately, we lost the greenhouse before they could flower this
past spring.
RHS Dictionary says the name V. variegata is no longer good and it has been
moved into R tricolor. I looked up V. tricolor in the RHS Plantfinder
2000-2001 but it doesn't list a variegata under V. tricolor so I have no
idea where it went.
The leaves were nice though. ;-) I would imagine if you haunted the SRGS
seedlist, you'd run into it again.
