Bill: I'm not so sure....I have had the Purple Wave Petunia and it seemed to
do better than the old fashioned types...which I believe this one is more
heat resident. My neighbor actually kept a Purple Wave going in a window box
well into the summer and she is a heavy feeder-----I think July did it in.
If they are planted in full sun they just dry up and die (come June)- if
planted in partial sun conditions they seem to die from the inside
out====when I say inside out, I mean that they died from the base of the
plant. Also, the partial sun conditions keep them from blooming as well as
they do when planted in the sun.
I'll buy a token few each year to go into seasonal containers but I don't use
them in my beds.....the bedding annuals for me are planted in May and are
Coleus and Vinca's...these are real troopers!!
