Title: need ID
A friend of mine sent me these photos for possible ID.  Sorry, no pix of the flower as he got it from another friend.  I’m pretty sure it’s a Zone 5 native and the sepals/leaves and pedicel remind me of something in the Rosaceae.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
