Hi,
You didn't say how much you already know about perennials, so I am listing
two good references about the most commonly used perennials.
Rodale's Illustrated Encyclopedia of Perennials, Ellen Phillips & C. Colston
Burrell, 1993, Rodale Press.
Gardening with Perennials, Edited by Fern Marshall Bradley, Rodale Press,
1996.
Both books have sections on plant care, plant descriptions, tips, design
principles, etc. Hope this helps.
